The Project

Riverside Galleria is planned as a large upscale retail complex located in the Charleston section of Staten Island – one of New York City’s most affluent neighborhoods. If approved, Riverside Galleria would be a 589,619 gross square foot (490,398 lease-able square foot) mixed use commercial center comprised of destination and smaller scale retail, supermarket, restaurant, cinema and small office use. It would transform the currently vacant site, while preserving the historic Cole House.

Set on over 24 acres of waterfront property along the shoreline of the Arthur Kill just below the Outerbridge Crossing, Riverside Galleria will offer visitors stunning views of the working waterfront via a beautifully designed promenade, which offers pedestrian access so that visitors can stroll between the shops and the waterfront. The construction of Riverside Galleria would be accompanied by improvements to enhance access to and parking at the complex, including new turning lanes into the complex from Arthur Kill Road, the opening of Richmond Valley Road, and a multi-level parking garage.
